Aspiring Picassos can now join fledgling Faulkners in 2013 Festival of Books competitions.
The 5th annual Young Authors Competition solicits original short stories, and the new Illustrators/Artists Competition seeks artwork depicting subjects celebrating Arizona’s history and/or diverse cultures. Both are open to all Pima County pre-school or school-aged children and adolescents.
Below you'll find several printer-friendly PDF documents:
• Fliers about the writer and illustrator competitions that you can print out and post — on a classroom wall, for instance. (Color or black/white versions available)
• The "cover pages" for entering the competitions. The cover page is where you give important information such as your name, address, age and school.
Follow the directions on the cover pages to enter either competition. The writing and art competitions have separate cover pages.
